Yesterday on my way to MCOM class I believe I got the most shocking news I have ever heard in my life. I recieved a text from a past teacher asking me for my friend's home number. Immediately I thought that her brother had gotten in trouble or that his good grades had started to slip because of his girlfriend. But I was WRONG! I NEVER would have guessed the reason why she wanted to know the number!
Not long after I texted her back, she called me sounding like she was holding back tears. She told me how his ex-girlfriend was in the hospital brain dead! I called my friend and told her what our former teacher had told me and asked her if she knew what was going on. As she informed me of the story, I tried to hold back tears. I was in shock! I knew this girl, she was one of my little sister's friends! I wanted to call my sister and see how she was doing but I was already late for class.
The rest of the day just felt like a blurr. How could something so hurrible happen to someone so young. There are so many stories going on about what really happened but all that matters is that you should NEVER take life for granted! Death is something that comes to both the young and the old and you NEVER know when God may say your time is up on this earth. Never be rude to people and ALWAYS be willing to tell people your love them.
